Heritage festival long weekend -  the holidays went by fast though.

So on Saturday we met up early and we walked the river path.
I was glad that Jamie joined because me and jon’s conversation don’t usually last long, and the silence will make the day awkward.

So now people is going to ask: What on earth is hertiage festival?
Hertiage festival is essentially a multicultural gathering (in edmonton at least), and of course sharing.
The sharing part are either expensive food, or handcrafts for decorative purposes.
Yes, and the musical performances.

Well I was  actually there for two days; it was pretty empty in the saturday afternoon.
At least there aren’t really line ups – you rarely see any line ups except at 9pm just right before the grocery store closes.
In fact, the so-called “store” wasn’t even open yet when we arrived, so we just sit and chill.

Me and Jon were mad hungry at that time, so we spent quite a bit on the “multicultural food”
We were concentrating on food for the entire hour which defeats my purpose of going to this festival,
*cough cough* – photography.
But ya, I had things to do thus I had to leave very soon (that is why I was there on Monday again…)

See how empty it was on saturaday afternoon?
the second day I went there it was full of eaters sitting around and line ups waiting to get fat.

The “China” sector was a total rip off, and scam to white people.
You can probably get a 16 inche pizza from not buying two spring rolls.

Oh, poor piggies

Yup, nothing are open untill 12:00noon

Indeed the park was too big, people have to drive around from place to place.
(and we walked the entire time…. =.=)

So yes, we spent most of the time eating. I didn’t even take photos of our food, because our empty stomach countering to sound  emergency alarms.

At the end, I only get to do 15min of real photography…

And finally… some dancing….

It was so bright and sunny that afternoon, not a good time for on stage photography.
Their facial features were all squeezed like a muscular dystrophy patient.

And more…

Well of course obviously, I am not focusing on the ice-cream seller in the below photo…
But great, $30HKD for a single cone of ice cream.
surprisingly people buy them. Too rich.

And finally we walk our long way back to University
